Quecon, Inc. is currently seeking a Linux System Administrator to support the Federal Aviation Administration's mission and vision to provide highly qualified, professional, and technical resources to satisfy agency requirements.. Qualified candidates will perform a variety of duties to support the FAA customer in achieving both their short- and long-term goals. We are looking for hardworking, talented and committed individuals to join our growing team.


The ideal candidate will possess in-depth Linux configuration experience.  A full understanding of computer system design and implementation is required. Candidates should have experience maintaining complex computer systems from multiple perspectives including software development, system administration, data storage, and data analysis. Candidates must be able to employ these technical skills independently and securely. Candidates must also possess strong communication skills. 


*Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust. Must be a US Citizen or 3-year permanent resident.


This position currently follows a hybrid schedule.  The candidate will be expected to report to the Wiliam J. Hughes Technical Center in Pomona, NJ, at least 2 days per week or as required.


Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another technical field with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.

 

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:


Strong Linux skills, including complex networking and system configuration
Computer system design skills
Computer programming skills
Understanding of data schemas, storage, and analysis tools
Experience with presentations and demos
Independent worker with all relevant skills
FAA system experience a plus
