Job Summary: A Kitchen Supervisor at Black Desert Resort is responsible for assisting in overseeing the kitchen operations at one of our food and beverage outlets while ensuring that all food preparation and presentation meet the resort’s high standards. This position reports to the Executive Chef or Sous Chef and is key in managing the kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean and efficient work environment. Job Specification: Location: Onsite at Black Desert Resort Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full Time / Weekends / Holidays Pay Range: $22.50 - $26.00 / hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors. Job Responsibilities but not limited to: Supervise and coordinate all back-of-house operations, ensuring that all kitchen activities run smoothly. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste. Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage schedules and shift assignments for kitchen staff, ensuring adequate coverage at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service flow and communication. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality and service standards. Address any issues or discrepancies in the kitchen promptly and professionally.. Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on service standards and procedures. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Excellent culinary skills with a strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items. Proficiency with kitchen management software and inventory systems. Willingness to follow instructions and take on new challenges. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $22.50/Hr. - $26.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.-
