As a Payroll Supervisor you will:

  • Supervise the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll. Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee the maintenance and updating of payroll systems and software. Collaborate with IT to resolve any system issues and implement upgrades.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Prepare and submit required payroll reports to management and government agencies.
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries and issues related to payroll. Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
  • Supervise payroll staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll operations and efficiency. Develop and document payroll procedures and policies.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper documentation of payroll transactions. Manage payroll-related files and records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in payroll processing required with two (2) years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and labor laws. Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., UKG, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex payroll information clearly and concisely. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
