Outside Sales Rep – Building Materials Distribution
gpac, a 30+ year recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the building materials distribution industry. Our client, a family-run company for over 35 years, is seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Rep to join their team. As the Outside Sales Rep, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. You will utilize your building materials knowledge, particularly in drywall, insulation, metal, and wood framing, to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value of our client's products to customers.
Job Type: Full Time
Responsibilities for the Outside Sales Rep:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to generate new business and expand customer base
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to maximize sales and customer satisfaction
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our client's products
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales deals
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities
Requirements of the Outside Sales Rep:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Outside Sales experience in wholesale distribution
- Strong knowledge of building materials, drywall, insulation, metal, and wood framing
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with customers
- Highly motivated and results-oriented
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
