Candidate requirements and job duties:

- Previous experience working in reception is preferred, but not required. Willing to train the right entry-level applicant.

 

The receptionist’s most important job is to provide a positive interaction with the client; in many ways, the receptionist holds the keys to the public image of the clinic. All client interactions should be welcoming, warm, and professional.

With this in mind, specific receptionist duties include: greeting and checking in clients for appointments, answering phones and emails, keeping excellent records in the electronic medical records system, communicating messages internally to the doctor and other staff members, keeping the appointment calendar for the clinic, collecting payments, processing end-of-day, and light cleaning. The most important attributes for this position are: exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail and follow through, and ability to handle stress/multitasking. And...you must love animals

Proof of COVID vaccination is required for employment at Horizon Veterinary Care.

Benefits:

We provide a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees (30+ hours/week).

Hours:

Schedules can be individualized. Clinic hours are 8a-5p, M-F. We are not open in the evenings or on weekends.

We are open to part-time or full-time employment.
