Ivy Tech Evansville seeks a part-time Wellness Assistant. The Wellness Assistant performs a variety of wellness center duties requiring responsibility and a knowledge of policies and procedures, provide clerical assistance as needed, clean equipment, and performs related work as required. This is an on site, in person role.

Major Responsibilities

Prepares the center for members; clerical duties, schedule appointments. Monitor use of fitness equipment: Clean, organize, report functioning problems. Assist with daily operations of the fitness center Be available to answer questions and explain how to use equipment (under the supervision of the Wellness Manager) Assist with wellness events and incentive programs Assist and possibly lead group exercise classes Assist in the campus garden Create flyers and wellness information for the bulletin boards Assist at wellness events (including some Saturdays) Promote mission of the wellness and fitness center Opening and closing the fitness center as needed Any other duties as assigned by the Wellness Manager

Work Hours:

Hours will depend on classes assigned but may include evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook and general office equipment Self-motivated, responsible, a quick learner with excellent customer service skills Some knowledge of wellness and fitness or an interest in the field Ability to lift some equipment Be willing to get certified in CPR/AED and various fitness certifications, as necessary Must be available to work in person on our Evansville, Indiana campus.
