Overview

Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Infusion Oncology team. QMG is a multi-specialty group practice with over 155 physicians and providers serving West Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa, and Northeast Missouri. Responsibilities

As an RN in Infusion Oncology, you will provide essential nursing support within the treatment room, including appointment scheduling and patient education, while ensuring the efficient delivery of prescribed treatments and care to our patients. Your role involves various medically related tasks critical to patient care, from supporting daily administrative processes to educating patients and families on oncology treatments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an experienced oncology nurse with a strong background in chemotherapy administration. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and strong interpersonal skills to ensure compassionate and effective patient care.

Qualifications include a current Illinois RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification, which is preferred. You will need to complete the Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course within six months of joining the Oncology Department, with successful renewal every two years. Additionally, you must successfully complete the Oncology Certified Nurse Examination within two years, with renewal required every four years.
