Job Summary 

The Assistant Manager will oversee all day-to-day operations of the My Epic Gear program, acting as the Manager on Duty is absence of the My Epic Gear manager. The assistant manager will learn and become proficient in all roles of My Epic Gear: Coordinator, Delivery Specialist, Member Service Attendant, Slopeside Attendant; and will be expected to perform these roles at any given time.

Job Responsibilities

As the Assistant Manager of My Epic Gear, this job oversees the operation of a full service, ski and snowboard rental membership program, across many different roles and locations throughout the resort.

 

The assistant manager’s responsibilities includes:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the My Epic Gear operations
  • Manages through uncertainty and change positively
  • Manages a team of up to 15 frontline staff members
  • Provides an important piece of our guests’ experience of a lifetime while in our resort by maintaining a strong culture of guest service
  • Constant communication with Store Manager and frontline staff members

 Day to day and seasonal tasks may include:

  • Ensuring all My Epic Gear equipment reservations are processed and ready for guests on a daily basis, including Delivery, Member Service, and Slopeside operations.
  • Providing consistent and direct feedback, coaching and guidance to team members
  • Driving professional development in yourself as well as others
  • Ensuring department and staff have all necessary supplies
  • Creating operational plans for day to day operations
  • Holding staff accountable to the highest level of guest service at all times
  • Acting as an ambassador for the My Epic Gear program at all times
  • Daily and weekly inventory management of My Epic Gear equipment
  • Administrative duties
  • Staffing and scheduling of employees to ensure all locations are able to operate daily
  • Hiring staff and processing payroll through a digital platform
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience - required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check - required
  • 2 years in ski/snowboard rental experience - preferred
  • 2 years resort experience in a leadership role – preferred
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of ski and snowboard maintenance and tuning - preferred
  • Knowledge and passion for snow sports and related equipment

 

The expected pay range is $25.00 - $28.04. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
