Job Summary:  The Scheduler/Coordinator schedules appointments and procedures both in-patient and out-patient.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a high school diploma. Must have a minimum of three years of previous scheduling experience. Is responsible for patient education in terms of pre-procedure requirements such as labs, imaging studies, H&P, diet, and any other details as may be necessary. May also have to relay instructions to patients’ families as necessary. Follows up to confirm patient has met all the necessary pre-procedure requirements. Maintains and updates all changes in preps and procedures. Sends all appropriate documentation to the hospital or other offices to accurately schedule procedures and surgeries in a timely manner.
