On-Site IT Support Engineer

As an IT Support Engineer you will provide IT support and (mobile) device management for the internal team members at Marel. For some specific tasks, this position also provides second tier IT support. You will be responsible for all technology on the users’ desk and all related technologies including workstations, mobile devices, VOIP phones, printers, videoconferencing, the workstation imaging process, etc. You will need to think quickly and be able to bring end users back to a working state in the shortest possible time.

What will you be doing?

You will act as a first line support with responsibilities that include:

Solving first line incidents and service requests in a timely manner ensuring satisfaction prior to closing the ticket

Handling second/third line incidents, ensuring that they are resolved at higher tiers and follow up with the user and/or document solutions

Preparing, configuring, and deploying client systems via SCCM, mobile devices including iPhones, iPads et cetera. If needed, support internal customer when there are issues with the mobile phone (android/iOS)

Installing, configuring, and supporting multiple desktop applications including windows M365 office suite

Entering and maintaining IT Assets and maintaining the IT Asset rotation for decommissioned assets

Maintaining system setup and deployment records as needed regarding system configuration

Taking turn as Regional Dispatcher on rotating basis

Installing printers, basic active directories (AD) changes, and manage user accounts

Performing consignment shifts, to guarantee availability of support

Delivering input to drive the problem management process to a higher level

Reviewing and updating Service Desk documentation including knowledge-based articles, handouts or other information and participate in company presentations

About You

In order to be successful in this position, you should have gained the following education and experience:

Intermediate vocational education or associate degree in information technology or 2 years equivalent experience required.

Basic knowledge of PC hardware, software and network troubleshooting skills required.

Familiar with concepts of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, CMDB, Service Requests and their practical application is required.

Knowledge and experience with a helpdesk ticket system. Topdesk knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge and experience with Android and iOS related multimedia devices

Proficient in windows 10/11

Preferred: MCSE, A+/Net + or equivalent
