Data Mining Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembling large, complex data sets for various business requirements
  • Identifying and implementing internal process improvements where needed to optimize data delivery and automated processes.
  • Work with Junior Software Engineer to help determine the requirements for new databases.
  • Building required infrastructure for report extraction, transformation and loading data using various data sources
  • Work with immediate team members, Project Managers, and other stakeholders where necessary to produce appropriate data sets, product design and aid with other data-related technical issues.
  • Working w/IT Department to keep data secure.

Data Mining Technician Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to build and optimize data sets, pipelines, and architectures.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on internal and external processes.
  • Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, and more.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with other teams.
  • Ability to clearly explain complicated concepts in simple terms.
  • Ability to take give and receive feedback in a professional manner.
  • Excellent time management skills
