Position Summary

UNM’s Utility Services is looking to hire a Manager of Utilities Ops & Maint to join our team. The qualified candidate will under limited supervision, manage and coordinate all aspects of the operation and maintenance of the university district energy systems which consist of multiple sites and facilities. They will oversee the operation and maintenance of the campus electric power generation and district heating and cooling system and manage the production, distribution, treatment, and maintenance of all primary utilities, such as electricity, steam, chilled water, compressed air, domestic water, and natural gas. Additionally they will support activities associated with the planning, budgets, development, coordination, and implementation of the division's strategies and plans.

Conditions of Employment Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job. Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications At least 10 years direct experience in operation and maintenance of distributed utility systems.
