The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 4 10-hour shifts OR 5 8-hour shifts
Location: Ellis Street, Bellingham, WA
Primary Responsibilities:
Greet customers into the practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary both on the phone and in personSchedule and coordinate all patient appointments as directedMaintain an organized and clean work area, free of clutterPrepare all documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient’s careMeet or exceed the performance measures established by the Practice Management DeptFollow establish policy and procedures related to the positionParticipate and contribute in a team-based environmentMaintain a team supportive attendance recordUnderstand and deliver quality customer service that is consistent with the Polyclinic’s efforts in becoming a High Performance OrganizationFollow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelinesFollow HIPAA regulationsAdapt and perform effectively in a continuously changing environment, and in occasional difficult situationsWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher) 1+ year(s) of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone1+ year(s) of experience with basic computer softwarePreferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the healthcare industryKnowledge of medications and medical terminologyEPIC experienceWashington Residents Only: The hourly range for Washington residents is $16.00 to $28.27per hour.
