Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our CPA firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, client bank reconciliations, transaction classification and input, and assisting in various accounting tasks. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Quicken, Excel, and Accounting CS.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Maintenance:
    • Perform write-up work and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Enter, review, and post journal entries to ensure accurate accounting records.
    • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare and provide accurate financial reports to accounting partners.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Software Utilization:
    • Utilize QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Quicken, Excel, and Accounting CS for bookkeeping tasks.
    • Maintain and update accounting software systems with accurate financial data.
  • Compliance and Accuracy:
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Communication:
    • Collaborate with clients to gather financial information and clarify any discrepancies.
    • Provide support to the accounting team and respond to financial inquiries.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
    • 2-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Quicken, Excel, and Accounting CS.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
    • Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and write-up work.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
