The Opportunity

As a Senior TransportationPlanner , you'll lead our team in revolutionizing integrated, multimodaltransportation systems. Key Responsibilities

Lead multimodal transportation planning initiatives across various contexts, from statewide to neighborhood levels. Drive teams in projects and public engagement activities, shaping transportation policies and practices. Spearhead visionary transportation planning projects, fostering innovation and quality. Stay abreast of industry trends, positioning Barge as a leader in transportation planning. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in transportation planning processes. Collaborate with stakeholders at federal, state, and local levels to build lasting relationships. Manage technical delivery of transportation planning projects across the Southeastern United States. Mentor and guide technical specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and growth.

Education & Experience Qualifications: 

Bachelor's (preferably a Master's degree) in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning or Design, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field. AICP certification is preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning, preferably with MPOs, DOTs, or municipalities. Proficiency in transportation planning software, GIS tools, and data analysis techniques. Experience in graphic production using Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable. Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
