Department Summary


The Office of the CIO (OCIO) represents the cross-functional IT Management capabilities that enable running the business of IT. The OCIO focuses on supporting IT's operation model by ensuring a consistent, transparent, and efficient approach to the way the IT organization delivers value to its partners. The core of the OCIO consists of four areas essential to the long-term success of IT: Contract Management, Culture, Program Management Office and Investment Management.


Position Summary


Client is seeking a highly motivated IT Business Process Specialist- Expert to support the PMO Standards. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project management standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization. This role ensures consistency and efficiency in project delivery by curating training materials by leveraging Enterprise guidance and industry best practices, providing guidance, training, and support to project managers and teams.


Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and Maintain Standards:

o Create, update, and enforce project management standards, templates, and processes by leveraging Enterprise framework.

o Ensure all project documentation aligns with enterprise standards and industry best practices.

o Setup a Project Management Community of Practice.

• Methodology and Frameworks:

o Develop and implement project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) tailored to the organization's needs.

o Regularly review and refine methodologies to adapt to changing business environments and technologies.

• Training and Support:


o Lead training and support project managers and team members on PMO standards and methodologies.

o Conduct workshops and training sessions to improve project management capabilities across the organization.

• Governance and Compliance:

o Monitor project compliance with established standards and methodologies.

o Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to PMO policies and procedures.

• Tools and Systems:

o Manage and optimize project management tools and systems.

o Provide support and training on the use of project management software and tools.

Continuous Improvement:


o Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

o Implement best practices and lessons learned from completed projects.

•

Reporting and Documentation:


o Develop and maintain documentation for all PMO processes and standards.

o Generate regular reports on project status, compliance, and performance metrics.

o Help automate reports and streamline the reporting processes.

• Stakeholder Management:

o Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.

o Ensure stakeholder engagement and buy-in for PMO standards and initiatives.


Qualifications:


• Education:


o Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

o PMP, PRINCE2, ACP, SAFe, or similar project management certification preferred.

•

Experience:


o Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in project management or a PMO role.

o Experience in leading PMOs and managing complex programs/projects using waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies.

o Proven experience in standing up a PMO.

o Experience in developing and implementing project management standards and methodologies.

o Creating training materials and leading training sessions with large teams.

• Skills:


o Strong knowledge of project management principles and best practices.

o Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.

o Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Planisware, PPM).

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The Pay Rate for this position is between $70.00-72.00/hr on w2
