Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a Maintenance Electrician & Mechanical Technician , where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements. You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. What You’ll Be Doing

Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned area with minimal supervision Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner. Diagnose and repair electrical problems to include process instrumentation/control systems, 120–480-volt systems, variable speed drives, and PLC related issues (primarily Allen Bradley but some other systems may also be included) Perform preventative maintenance, and safety inspections. Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving. Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departments. Setup, takedown, and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment Frequently modify packaging & process equipment for new products Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems. Operate a mill, lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and all other machine shop tools.

What You’ll Bring

3-5 years mechanical/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum 5 years electrical, and/or controls/PLC in an industrial manufacturing environment (strong electrical skills are preferred) A minimum of a high school education or its equivalent.  Must be flexible to work Shift Work (days, afternoons, nights) Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment- ability to lift 50+ lbs.  Excellent Interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Time Management and Organization; Ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $30.00 – $35.00/hour plus a quarterly operational bonus . The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
