Description

The Showroom Consultant provides optimum sales service by welcoming customers into the showroom, determining their needs and processing sales transactions. The showroom Consultant will complete the order process from beginning to end with the customer, from the selection process to quoting, placing the order, and tracking. In addition, the Showroom Consultant is responsible for maintaining the showroom's cleanliness, theme, and image, including essential maintenance duties such as stocking and changing displays.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Function under the direction of the Director of Sales.  Utilize the showroom to expose designers, homeowners, and plumbing contractors to high-end products. Contact local designers and plumbing contractors for sales appointments and assist in addressing their needs. Utilize skills and marketing techniques to educate clients. Seek out and use the knowledge and expertise of showroom vendors. Establish a rapport with designers that will aid in working with them and their clients to promote sales. Work from the point of sale to installation. Be a problem solver, encouraging clients to seek out your help in completing their projects. Maintain a clean, updated, and inviting environment. Always proceed to close the sale. As needed, assist customers with return and warranty processes.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process purchase orders.

• Assist with administrative duties.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

An associate degree or degree in interior design is preferred but not required. Experience in design or related field Strong customer service and communication skills. 1 to 5 years’ experience with sales in a plumbing fixture showroom, preferred but not required.  We are willing to train the right candidate. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Working conditions are normal for a retail/wholesale warehouse environment.

• This position will be full-time in the GTS showroom.

• Some travel may be required to attend training and trade shows.

Salary Description $20 - $22 per hour
