Engineering Technician V RFBU

Description
SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician V in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Perform CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) testing and repair on RFBU (Radio Frequency Blanking Unit) CCAs.
- Review documentations, standard operating procedures, and drawings to determine component root cause analysis troubleshooting.
- Operate hand tools and test equipment not limited to multimeters, huntrons, soldering irons, and equipment GUIs.
- Fluent with Windows operating systems and how to navigate them and standard applications within. Collaborate and fluently communicate with management, leads, QA, engineering, logisticians, and other technicians as needed to fulfill the test and repair operations for RFBU.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of electro mechanical systems.
- Conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing.
- Analyze test results/determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
- Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications and use judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree and at least 6 years of related experience or High School Diploma and 8 years of related experience
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret needed to start
- Must be U.S. citizen
- Must be able to work from schematics and engineering drawings
- Soldering experience
