Childcare workers are directly responsible for the well-being of 0-5 years (Pre-K) age children under Motheread program. Along with supervising and monitoring the safety of children, they are responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and age-appropriate activities to meet physical, intellectual, social, and psychological growth of children. They must possess excellent communication, decision making, organization, and problem-solving skills while fulfilling their duties with patience, compassion, and empathy.

This position is open until filled.

This position may have occasional travel between campuses and for training. Occasional after hours may be required.

  • Maintain a safe and fun environment for o-5 years (Pre-Kindergarten) age children

  • Supervise and monitor physical safety of children

  • Follow the sanitation guidelines and help children learn good hygiene practices

  • Clean and sanitize toys, children’s furniture, and play equipment

  • Clean and organize the classroom at the end of class

  • Play, read, and feed to infants and toddlers

  • Establish and enforce behavior rules in the classroom

  • Engage children in positive interaction to build confidence and self-esteem

  • Develop and deliver age-appropriate interactive lesson plans using Motheread curriculum

  • Plan and implement creative activities and foster critical and motor skills development

  • Facilitate children’s activities, including storytelling, games, music, arts, and other hobbies

  • Maintain children’s daily attendance and keep records of each child’s progress

  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Motheread Story Exploring training certification

  • Experience working with young children

  • Bilingual
