High School Intramurals Supervisor
The are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual who exhibits a love of learning and a genuine interest in the social, emotional, mental, and physical health of student-athletes. QUALIFICATIONS: 

Has the ability to lead in the organization and supervision of a total intramurals program. 

REPORTS TO:
The athletic director.

JOB GOAL:
Lead the operation and administration of all facets of the Intramural Sports program, which include the planning, promoting, organizing and evaluating of scheduled activities.
Acting as a liaison between Intramurals activities and participants, the supervisor strives to provide an environment of fun, physical fitness, and cooperation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Scarsdale Public Schools' Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation by the entire staff of the sports program.  Has knowledge of existing system, state and league regulations; implements the same consistently and interprets them for staff.  Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance. 

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: 

Responsible for securing contracts with outside facilities and instructors.  Creates schedules for teams. Organizes transportation and chaperones when needed.  Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sport events or practices and adheres to scheduled facility times. Assists in the collection of documentation to fulfill state, section and school requirements concerning physical examinations, parental consent and eligibility.  Provides proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites.  Follows procedures and policies concerning injuries, medical attention and emergencies. Participates in the budgeting function with the athletic director by establishing requirements for the next season. Recommends equipment guidelines as to type, style, color or technical specifications.  Is responsible for operating within budget appropriations.  Arranges for issuing and storing of equipment and submits annual inventory and current records concerning the same.  Acts as a liaison between parents, coaches, and players. Promotes the activities within the school through recruiting athletes who are not in another sports program and promotes the sport outside the school through news media, little league programs, or in any other feasible manner.
