Utility Engineer

Your Primary Responsibilities will includeYou will independently apply, plan, design, direct, organize, execute, and recommend related activities for utility engineering projects within the organization.  
  • Ability to analyze available data and regulatory framework to determine the feasibility of potential projects.
  • Assist Office Leader with the preparation of the scope of services and fee estimation for potential projects.
  • Conceive project plans for projects and prepares design and permitting schedules for the execution of projects.
  • Prepare or direct the team in the preparation and modification of calculations, construction cost estimates, designs, reports, permit applications, construction plans, and specifications for the project.
  • Work closely with clients and regulatory agencies to facilitate approval of permit applications and plans.
  • Perform construction observation of projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards. 
  • Perform project close-out duties and conducts de-brief with the team.

What you'll need
  • Bachelors of Science in Environmental/Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Registration (PE) or ability to achieve license (required).
  • 4-8 years of experience. 
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history (required).  
  • Experience with Wastewater treatment/Water treatment (preferred).
  • Experience with Infrastructure (Utilities) Design and Permitting (required).
  • Management duties include budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction, and staff management.
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, professionals, and your team members
