Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Utility Crew member to join our construction and land development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing and maintaining utility systems, including water, sewer, gas, and electrical lines. If you are a dedicated professional with a focus on safety and precision, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain utility systems such as water, sewer, gas, and electrical lines.
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment such as excavators, trenchers, and backhoes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other construction team members.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Excavate and prepare sites for utility installation, ensuring proper grades and alignment.
  • Perform site cleanup and restoration after utility installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in utility installation and maintenance in a construction environment.
  • Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of utility installation methods and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
