Car Seat Engineer

This position is for an Engineer on the Current Products Management Team. The Engineer will be responsible for product development projects for existing products while working within a cross-functional team. The R&D Engineer will support engineering efforts on existing products from conception through production, while following Graco’s Product Development Process, and to ensure the product meets or exceeds expectations from a cost, timing, and specification standpoint. The position will require the ability to work quickly and effectively with other disciplines including Marketing, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Quality, & Supply Chain. Some travel may be required. This position will be based in our Atlanta Headquarters.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

CAD modeling experience (preferably using Creo/SolidWorks)

3-6 years of product development experience

Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills

Strong planning, organizing, leadership, & communication skills

Presentation/Documentation skills

Strong Static/Dynamic analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with product testing and compliance

Understanding of Dynamic Crash results

Experience Developing Child Restraints, Automotive Restraint systems, or Juvenile products

Experience with power and hand tools

Experience with prototyping processes and materials
