Join the new MCC and you will have the opportunity to become part of an organization that is committed to excellence and industry leadership for over 110 years.We are currently looking for Machine Operators and Printing Assistants/Support to join our team, experience is not required but always a bonus.$1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS Why work at MCC: Competitive compensation Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) Paid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating Holidays Responsibilities: Operates a number of machines to help create labels and flexible packaging. Continuously checks for print and seam quality. Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification. Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary). Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them. Must understand basic printing and seam related defects. Attains and maintains all defined job objectives related to the planning and execution of all jobs and quick changes Assists in the performance of all external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities (changing from one label job to another) Assists in the performance of all external clean-up activities following changeover Cleans ink pans and ancillary equipment Strips plates from cylinders Locates dies to and from press May be required to work with press operator to view labels with assistance of strobe light Comply with quality assurance specifications of the customer and MCC May be required to complete quality assurance sheet and associated documentation Responsible for working overtime when needed and as assigned Related duties as assigned Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek). Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. MCC has been around for 110 years, and we pride ourselves on our high level of excellence. Every team member of MCC is expected to treat all associates respectfully and professionally. Qualifications: Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to use simple windows based applications. Must be able regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Print shop experience helpful, but not required Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and written form); seen as a team player Ability to read and understand a job ticket Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test) Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test) Ability to differentiate colors (able to pass a color test) Ability to input data in the computer Other considerations:
Starting Pay - $18.00 - 22.00/hr (depending on position). $1.50/hr shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift MCC offers a competitive wage and generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k). 8 hour shifts (2nd shift 2pm-10:00pm or 3rd shift 10pm-6:00am) Diversity & Inclusion At MCC, we believe what makes us unique, makes us better.
