LPN Charge Nurse Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled LPN Charge Nurse to join our team at CHSGa. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for directing nursing care for our patients and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.

**Responsibilities**

- Direct nursing care for patients and supervise nursing assistants
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing our nursing center
- Collaborate with the Administrator, Medical Director, and Director of Nursing Services to provide high-quality patient care
- Operate oxygen equipment, suction machines, and other medical devices as needed
- Deliver medications, receive drugs from the pharmacy, and maintain accurate records
- Collect lab specimens, interpret results, and administer IV medications
- Admit, discharge, and transfer patients as requested
- Maintain effective communication with attending physicians and participate in care planning

**Requirements**

- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or approved LPN program
- Proficient in using a computer, especially Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, effective communication, and a caring demeanor
