AtkinsRéalis seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Atlanta, Georgia office team as a Senior Roads and Highways Senior Project Manager / Senior Roadway Engineer working on various Highway and Roadway projects. This role can be in several cities. We are expanding into new regional markets that will support major hub offices located in EAST Region. Expansion into these sub-regional markets is supported by a strong regional and national work-share program across all Department of Transportation, Community Infrastructure and Intermodal and Federal Clients in multiple states.

Under the direction of the EAST regional roads and highway lead, this individual will lead the growth and development of a sub-regional design group. You will build a team in a new market and facilitate growth in untapped AtkinsRéalis markets by maintaining existing relationships and growing the market organically.

You will hire a design team including a Senior Engineer, Junior Engineer and Senior Designer to support project and growth initiatives. This full design team will deliver and produce remotely for projects in multiple locations under a project manager in the project and client location. This team will apply advanced concepts and techniques to provide solutions for unconventional engineering problems. You will provide technical specialist expertise and train less experienced. This role is expected to develop into a Deputy PM and PM role.

How will you contribute to the team?

Assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings. May supervise the production of these drawings. Execute assignments in preparing and assembling specifications.

Participate in conducting engineering investigations and planning work. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.

Prepare assigned sections of reports working under the close review of a more experienced professional.

Participate on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance to specifications; assist in recordkeeping and generating progress reports; observe construction procedures and collect samples for quality control testing.

Perform data acquisition and analysis, research the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.

Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gather information, draft outlines, prepare work progression documents and graphic presentations.

Perform field observations of construction.

What will you contribute?

BS and/or MS in Engineering.

10+ years of engineering experience.

Must have highway/roadway design.

Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.

Strong project financial management and team management skills.

DOT experience required.

State PE required through reciprocity.

Proficiency in MicroStation, Open Roads Designer.

AutoCAD Civil 3D recommended but not required.

Project Manager Professional a plus, but not required.

Expected compensation range is between $70k - $117k annually.
