American Building Supply (ABS) , a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Paint Team Lead to assist our Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties:
Ensure hour x hour boards are kept up. Hour x hour actions will be driven by missed goals and opportunities, those actions will be listed on the SQDCI boards, Pareto actions and drive RAIL’s from tallest poles. Maintain a safe working environment. Hold self and other associates accountable to JELD-WEN policies and procedures. Begin work 15 minutes prior to shift with the expectation to gather necessary information from all pertinent departments necessary to plan for the day. Breaks must be taken in a timely manner to comply with local and state laws. 5S Tracked and improvement activities maintained.Ensure schedule is adhered to and any issues are escalated to Group Manager.
Breaks, lunch times and tracking of excessive time away from workstations for your team will fall under your responsibility to escalate. Follow escalation process. Communicate when a manufacturing line has been shut down for 30 minutes or more Responsible at the end of the shift for: Assisting Group Manager with daily reports as needed Update schedule attainment board and SQDCI board Communicate professionally and respectfully with all personnel. Maintain cross training matrix for Team. Celebrate wins with the team. Share associate achievements with Supervisor and recommend rewards. Conforms with safety regulations per plant policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Reports unsafe conditions immediately to appropriate supervision. Performs other duties as assigned by management.Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $30.03 to $33.20 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
