Job Summary

The jobholder has the primary responsibility for managing the relationship between our order automation vendor & Morton Salt. This position will manage the automation solution for all channels (US & Canada for C&I). Included in this role is acting as the main point of contact for escalations, continuous improvement & overall success of the order automation activities. Additionally, this role will act as the SME & play an active role in Webshop onboarding for customers across all channels. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as the representative and primary contact between Morton Salt customer supply chain & our automation partners Works to improve Morton Salt’s automation efforts by identifying continuous improvements opportunities Establishes and maintains positive and effective relationships with key internal contacts that include across the supply chain Utilizes SAP order management system to process customer orders, complete order changes, and monitor compliance of all assigned accounts. Maintains knowledge of all internal Morton Salt policies and procedures, software applications and other resources which impact any aspect of the order-to-cash cycle or performance of any Customer Service responsibilities. Negotiates directly and indirectly with and on behalf of internal and external customers, to identify and implement creative solutions and resolve issues which negatively impact any aspect of the order-to-cash cycle, Morton Salt’s relationship with its customers and/or the timely and accurate delivery of products to external customers.  Take on leadership role within specified team; serve as subject matter expert regarding Customer Service process/procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree preferred. 6-10 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Previous experience in a customer focused environment, preferably in a similar Supply Chain, Logistics role in a B2B or B2C environment. Advanced knowledge of computer applications such as SAP, AS400, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Be seen as a go-to person, leadership qualities. Ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external customers. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Form, foster and maintain strong, positive business relationships across multiple units and sites. Able to demonstrate confidence and the ability to interact with all associate levels. Foster and lead an inclusive culture. Integrate, work and lead effectively with others in a changing environment. Strong account management and business development experience. Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities. Effective project management skills. Ability to effectively deliver information/presentations to large groups (internal and external) Strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
