The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for the position of Lecturer of Curriculum and Instruction (Elementary Education) to teach in Teacher Education Undergraduate and Graduate Programs. UNT Dallas – the first public institution of higher education in Dallas – offers faculty the unique opportunity to help shape the character of a 21st century, learner-focused, urban comprehensive university. Position Overview
The incumbent in this Lecturer position which will be responsible for teaching four courses per semester and engage in university service. Faculty are expected to participate in such service activities as curriculum development, online course development, student recruiting and advising, program assessment, program accreditation, program leadership, coordinating service learning, and committee leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Ph.D., Ed.D. and/or M.Ed. degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Teacher Education.
- A minimum of three years teaching, in the public school systems in elementary education subjects.
- Availability to teach face-to-face, hybrid, or online for both day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Teacher education, state certification in subject matter or administration for education positions.

- Terminal degree in the discipline or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate courses.
- Academic experience working on a campus with culturally diverse students, staff, and faculty.
- Bilingual skills for positions in EC-6 Bilingual program
