The Opportunity

This Digital Products Program Manager, Digital Solutions works onsite out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Abbott Medical Devices, Digital Solutions group

The Digital Solutions organization reports in the Medical Devices group and is responsible for leveraging digitally enabled technology to increase patient access to care and provide our customers with best-in-class experiences that support our collective mission to improve patient outcomes.

Job Description

The Digital Products Program Manager, Digital Solutions role reports the head of Portfolio and Strategy, Digital Solutions. This is a highly visible role that will interact with senior leadership on a regular basis.

In this role you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of digital innovations for Abbott Medical Devices. You will also be responsible for overseeing the full portfolio of projects within Digital Solutions.

As a core team lead, you will lead the execution of key initiatives. You will have full responsibility for schedule, cost, and protecting the scope of the programs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders internally, as well as external partners, to build our next generation digital offerings.

What you will work on

Portfolio Management

Oversee the full portfolio of projects within Digital Solutions – including budget, resource balancing, and managing the portfolio roadmap. Institute processes, policies and systems that allow for the sophisticated management and tracking of programs. Lead and participate in leadership reviews related to program review boards, steering committee meetings, strategy, and financial planning.

Program Management

Drive the execution and delivery of leading-edge innovations in the digital health space.Lead cross-functional core teams to deliver key product programs on time and within budget.Develop schedules, budget, resource allocation plans for assigned programs.Work with technical teams, marketing, and cross-functional partners to make tradeoffs that allows us to achieve our goals.Act as the cross-divisional liaison as relates to assigned programs. Process development and improvementDevelop appropriate agile product development processes to achieve a quick and nimble project life cycles.Institute change and risk management for assigned programs. Present to and communicate with leadership within and external to Digital Solutions.

Leadership

Mentor and coach others in the team to build the bench strength of the full organization. Actively promote a strong, collaborative, and productive culture. Spearhead process and system level improvements to build a best-in-class program management competence within our team. Present to senior leadership, customers, and across Abbott

Qualifications

Required Background

Technical (engineering or software) Bachelor’s degree 5+ years program management – medical device and / or agile experience preferred.

Preferred

MBA or other related advanced degree Experience in digital health technology, preferably in the health or medical space Experience with data analytics, and AI/Machine learning Experience in AI and data solutions, particularly for healthcare applications
