We are actively seeking an experienced HVAC professional to contribute to our clients commitment to excellence. As a Building Systems Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in troubleshooting, servicing, and enhancing various building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and miscellaneous repairs. We're looking for a standout candidate who brings a wealth of experience, can work independently, and is dedicated to ensuring the optimal performance of building assets while providing top-notch customer support.Key Responsibilities:
  • Tackle daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas, ensuring the timely completion of maintenance work orders.
  • Uphold a professional, safe, and organized work environment, always in adherence to OSHA Safety Policies and Regulations.
  • Provide responsive customer support, emphasizing customer satisfaction, and offering innovative maintenance solutions with timely follow-up on work progress.
  • Work autonomously under the guidance of the supervisor, contributing to plant maintenance, operations, and building renovations.
  • Leverage Preventive Maintenance Programs and actively participate in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, with a strong focus on safety.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Facility Services to review plans for additional maintenance, construction, and renovations.
  • Showcase extensive knowledge of building mechanical/electrical infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Bring a solid five (5) years of experience in the building maintenance industry, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC systems installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and related work.
  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of air handling systems, airflow, IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) issues, heating systems, and exhaust systems.
  • Exhibit proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed plans, specifications, operating manuals, and other written materials.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hold a current State of New York HVAC License and Universal EPA Refrigerant Reclaiming Certification.
  • Boast a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
  • Showcase experience in operating Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Display the ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds effortlessly.
