We have an immediate need for a  Solidworks designer that has a strong mechanical background to join our clients growing engineering team.Job Summary:
The Designer will design and prepare drawings and bills of material related to functionality and assembly of components of High voltage Switch Products using Solidworks.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Prepare detail drawings / layouts and sketches of parts and equipment used by Transmission Switch Product Division for engineering and fabrication purposes.
• Prepare Bills of Material for assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Review and process orders for production.
• Make electrical, mechanical and structural calculations associated with drawing preparation.
• Initiates changes as assigned by Senior Designer or Application Engineer in existing drawings after investigating technical effects of such changes.
• Other duties can include help with:
o Erecting of switch products for testing purposes.
o Process orders, drawings usually associated with Engineering          Services.

Required:
  • Associate in mechanical engineering
  • 2 plus year of mechanical design experience
  • Proficient with Solidworks 
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Strong mechanical understanding
Pay:  $25-$28/hr.
Duration:  Temp-to-permanent
Location:  McDonough, GA
