Automation Controls Engineer

GENERAL:
Proven project management skills required to define, scope, schedule, develop, and coordinate automation electrical and control systems projects of varying sizes and importance from conception through completion Inter-departmental communication as needed for project scope, project implementation, system breakdown response and continuous improvement Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in English Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment Computer software: Microsoft Office, Project PROGRAMMING (ALL REQUIRED): + years of programming experience using the following Rockwell Automation products: ControlLogix CompactLogix Factorytalk View Factorytalk Viewpoint Studio Logix Emulate Studio Logix Designer Proven ability to create UDT structures and AOI routines in the ControlLogix Program Proven ability to integrate an HMI with a PLC(s) using UDTs and AOIs Proven ability to install Factorytalk View software on an HMI computer and create the HMI screens Ability to develop the PLC logic and HMI screens for an integrated HMI/PLC system using the Sanders standard logic and object library Microsoft SQL server or other database experience DESIGN: Proven ability to design a PLC system including PLC hardware selection and control component selection (switches, sensors, transmitters and etc.) Proven ability to design and commission a PLC control panel Read, create and maintain single line diagrams, electrical control schematics and P&ID drawings Ability to create/modify drawings with D CAD (AutoCAD Electrical) PRODUCTION/MAINTENANCE SUPPORT: + years of experience working with controls systems (HMIs and PLCs) in a manufacturing/industrial environment Experience with electrical "hands on troubleshooting of electrical components using process meter Experience with PLC logic troubleshooting as needed to resolve breakdown issues EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering is Required: Electrical (BSEE) or Mechanical (BSME)
Sanders Companies is a recycler of used batteries and a secondary smelter and supplier of lead to the battery manufacturing industry. Used batteries are broken into their core components of lead, acid and plastic, all of which are recycled onsite, either at Sanders Companies or KW Companies-one of the world's largest plastic recycling companies.
