Position Overview:

As a PLC Programmer at GT Automation Services , you will play a crucial role in designing, programming, and implementing control systems for industrial automation projects. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and integrate control solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, ranging from manufacturing and assembly to material handling and beyond.

Responsibilities:

1. PLC Programming: Develop and implement PLC (Allen Bradley or Siemens) programs based on project requirements using industry-standard programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).

2. System Integration: Collaborate with electrical engineers, controls engineers, and other team members to integrate control systems into overall automation solutions.

3. HMI Development: Design and program Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications for efficient and user-friendly interaction with automated systems.

4. Commissioning and Testing: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of control systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with project specifications.

5. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC programming, control systems, and automation equipment during both development and implementation phases.

6. Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including project specifications, user manuals, and as-built documentation, to support effective system operation and future modifications.

7. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

8. Stay Current: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PLC programming and industrial automation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

2. Proven experience in PLC programming in Allen Bradley or Siemens and HMI development for industrial automation projects.

3. Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.

4. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP) and control system hardware.

5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

7. Willingness to travel to client sites for system installation, testing, and commissioning.
