Position Overview :

The Director will lead program design and development of the NYC DHS City Sanctuary Services in close coordination with existing and new partners and ensure compliance and alignment with the expectations of the project. Director will oversee the entire City Sanctuary Facility provider operation at a specific sanctuary hotel site and will serve as the main liaison with the New York City Department of Homeless Services (DHS) Site Program Administrator. As the Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and success of the site under your supervision. The Director will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the site by ensuring operational excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and achieving organizational objectives.

Position Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years’ experience working as a manager or director of a DHS or DYCD shelter or sanctuary site. Master’s degree in social work or another human services field preferred and minimum of two years’ experience working as a director of a DHS or DYCD shelter or sanctuary site. Solid understanding of immigration laws, regulations, procedures, and benefits/entitlements or strong ability to learn quickly. Must be organized as well as, have excellent verbal, written and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families, collaborating agencies, and community professionals. Able to effectively manage significant administrative and process documentation. A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and work independently. Must be bilingual both verbally and in written correspondence.

Salary:$90,000 (Flat Rate)
