Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Agronomy Manager in planning and executing agronomic programs and services.
- Provide technical support and advice to farmers on crop production, pest management, soil health, and nutrient management.
- Supervise and train agronomy staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Conduct field scouting and diagnostic activities to identify crop issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored agronomic solutions.
- Assist in the implementation of precision agriculture technologies and data-driven decision-making tools.
- Coordinate and oversee scheduling of agronomic services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in the preparation of performance reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in agronomy, crop production, or a related field, with a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, pest management, soil health, and nutrient management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with precision agriculture technologies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
