Role overview

CarGurus is looking for a Product Manager to join our Consumer team and own CarGurus' core Consumer initiatives. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Data Science, Sales and Marketing to deliver exceptional products and a best-in-class car shopping experience.

What you'll do

Be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap of features and alignment with core business goals Work closely with engineers, designers, data, research, and other PMs to develop new features and drive execution and launch Use various testing techniques to generate insights, make data-driven choices, and maximize our key metrics Own accountability for our marketplace product performance, including the impact on the business and our customers Identify consumer needs and pain points in the experience and translate those insights into impactful product hypotheses Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing Advocate for the consumer across the company

What you'll bring

3+ years of product management experience in fast-paced, dynamic, and agile environments Exceptional independent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate and work in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and quickly align a diverse group of stakeholders toward a common goal Ability to drive projects of varying sizes and scopes simultaneously while prioritizing. You have great instincts regarding what matters and have made tough but smart trade-offs You are a strategic thinker who thrives when developing a long-term strategy and delivering tactical execution Excellent analytical skills, always referring to quantitative and qualitative data when making product decisions, and have experience with analytics and research tools Strong verbal and written communication skills and can create and deliver winning presentations Strong partnership with engineers, empathetic to their unique needs Bonus: You have prior experience with search, marketplace, or e-commerce products
