Job Description

Interco is seeking a motivated intern with a solid foundation in React and web development technologies to join the team. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to key projects including our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and WMS (Warehouse Management system). If you have experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and are eager to apply your skills in a real-world setting, Interco encourages you to apply.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development of various ERP modules, including Order Management. Contribute to both the creation of new modules and the enhancement of existing ones. 
  • Work on improving existing ERP features, ensuring they meet user needs and business requirements. 
  • Participate in the development and refinement of the Warehouse Management system. Help build out new features and improve existing ones based on project needs. 
  • Collaborate with the team to implement updates and enhancements as the project evolves. 

Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Familiarity with React is highly desirable. 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Previous experience or coursework in web development using JavaScript frameworks (React preferred) is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle development challenges effectively. 
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality and accurate code. 
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. 


Additional Information

Compensation:  

  • Pay rate: $15 / hour 
  • Operating hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. 
  • This position does not offer healthcare benefits 
  • This position is open to local students only

Company Information 

Interco has been recycling computers, batteries, metals, and electronics with a focused track record of innovation and integrity since 1996. The company specializes in the placement of smelter-ready materials catering to commercial, industrial, dealer, and government organizations nationwide.  

The Interco recycling facilities are separated into three departments: nonferrous metals, computers and electronics, and battery processing. The nonferrous facility is located on the 40-acre main campus in Madison (IL) while the computers and electronics are processed in Edwardsville where the Administrative and some logistics offices are located. The commercial department is located on The Hill in St. Louis.
