Responsibilities

As a Human Resource Specialist, a successful candidate will contribute to the accomplishment of HR practices and objectives that will provide a high performance customer centered culture.The Human Resources Specialist will assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR Specialistcarries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas; workers compensation, safety, montly safety topic, equipment certification, LMS training, payroll, employee relations, benefits, all facets of recruitment, and employee programs..

We are actively seeking an HR Specialist that has experience in:

LMS training Equipment certifications Monthly safety topic Warehouse Safety Protocols Assist with workers compensation 

But would also be responsible for helping with the over all day to day operations of Human Resources

Assist with maintaining the HR systems and any changes pertaining to employee personal and job data records.  Support the internal and external staffing/recruiting process, administer testing, schedule interview, drug test, assessment, and physician evaluation.  Assisting with the development and production of designated queries, surveys, data collection and reports pertaining to internal and external staffing.  Participate and assist with recruiting.  Prepare badges for security and safety purposes.  Provide administrative support for calendar management, meeting coordination, arranging appointments Special work as assigned including various other research and/or statistical compilation. Answers telephone, open/sorts and prioritizes mail.  Assist with all company events.  Responsible for maintaining personal files  Assist Managers and Supervisors with purchasing office supply needs and review invoice for accuracy.  All other duties as assigned by HR Manager and Supervisor.  Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must  Adheres to DC housekeeping guidelines  Preform all other tasks and duties as assigned.* 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

High School diploma with an Associates degree preferred. Willingness to learn, inquisitive, open mindedness to all ideas, high level of emotional intelligence.Previous experience in Human Resources a plus. Exceptionally strong interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills. Strong focus on customer service required.  Ability to work with very diverse groups of employees at all levels of authority.Willing to assist in various duties in the warehouse, when neededMust have a strong professional commitment to Human Resources. Strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to balance several priorities from multiple sources required.  Flexibility and adaptability in dealing with rapidly changing priorities and demands necessary. Must have a strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal .direction/supervision  Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to meet competing deadlines under pressure while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail. Excellent follow through on commitments, using sound judgment with the ability to recognize and handle sensitive/confidential information. Intermediate to advanced level proficiency, G Suite : Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Google Workspace.
