Description

Ares Management is currently seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join the Real Estate Legal team in our Denver office.The Real Estate Legal team consists of a handful of lawyers and a few paralegals and legal coordinators. The Real Estate Legal team is part of the global Ares Legal team and is responsible for overseeing the Real Estate funds and its investments.The Real Estate Legal team primarily works out of the Denver and New York offices and also throughout Europe.This individual will be working closely with the U.S. Real Estate equity team, internal and outside counsel, other Paralegals, F&A and Tax.

The ideal candidate will possess significant and primary experience with real estate, including exposure to asset management, acquisitions, financings, and dispositions.This role will require a dynamic, adaptive and agile hands-on professional to ensure optimal performance and processes in a fast-paced rapidly growing environment.

Primary functions and essential responsibilities

Assist with drafting and negotiating confidentiality, brokerage, property management, service agreements, vendor contracts, consents to subleases and assignments, and other transaction and asset management related agreements Coordinate and assist with audit response process, including coordination with various business teams Manage service of process Run and interpret bankruptcy/litigation/OFAC related searches Assist with allocation process monitoring and maintenance of allocation logs Maintain transaction form bank, including suggesting and implementing document revisions Assist with processing insurance claims and tracking relevant litigation deadlines Coordination with investment and operations teams, paralegals, legal coordinators, F&A, tax and investor relations

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program or equivalent qualification preferred Notary Public

Experience Required:

Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience as a real estate paralegal Previous financial industry knowledge preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$90,000 to $110,000
