Position Details

Zeeland Public Schools has a Classroom Paraprofessional position available at Venture Academy. The Classroom Paraprofessional will assist the Classroom Teacher to insure an effective and positive learning experience for students.

Responsibilities:

Provide instruction and/or academic assistance to the students, keeping them on track and focused. Working with the classroom teacher, monitor student achievement to determine skill level that will allow them to have success in the classroom. Effectively utilize the building level behavior management plan. Will also implement data to be used by support teams in the building. Assist the teacher in organizing classroom materials that may be useful for the students success. Perform various clerical duties to assist the teacher as necessary. Participate in necessary school meetings, assemblies, programs and school events.

Qualifications:

BA or Associates degree in Education Assistance and teacher certification preferred; related work experience preferred. Must have communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff and parents.

Schedule:
School Year
7.5 hours per day/5 days a week

Compensation:
Level I $13.10 $15.35 per hour
Level II $14.41 $16.87 per hour for certified teacher
