Job Title: Summer Pre-K Lead Teacher

Reports to: Child Care Director
Pay Range: $16-$18/hr

Hours: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Summary:

The Boys & Girls Club is seeking a passionate, energetic, and dynamic Summer Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our team and make a positive impact on some of the most promising youth in Salt Lake City. As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment for 4 and 5-year-old children. You will plan and implement a variety of enriching preschool activities while ensuring the well-being and development of each child. Additionally, you will drive the children in a club vehicle, ensuring their safety during transport.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate preschool activities that promote learning and development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Drive children in a club vehicle, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of early childhood development and best practices.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive and enriching environment.

Qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge and experience working with early childhood ages.
- Strong understanding of developmental stages and needs of preschool children.
- Preferably holds a CDA or is enrolled in Child Care Ladder classes.
- At least one year of experience in youth or child care.
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum and educational best practices.

Requirements:

- Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to attend required child care training sessions throughout the year.
- Willingness to assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
