Job Summary:

This position is responsible for servicing customers by providing product and service information and resolving any product and service problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Takes customer orders and enters them into the VIP database. Bridge communication between Operations and Sales.
  • Maintains solid customer relationships by handling their questions and concerns with speed and professionalism. Performs data entry and uses software programs. May trouble shoot customer problems.
  • Works closely with sales reps in regards to orders and delivery dates.
  • Sets up new retail customer accounts.
  • Handles pricing corrections and credits to accounts.
  • Manages daily out of stocks.
  • Inputs orders and setups pricing excel sheets for the big box accounts (BJ's, Costco) and works directly with their buyers.
  • Cuts invoices for employees and retail accounts that need product for that day.
  • Take part in administrative and customer service procedural meetings.
  • Assist customers with signing up for the portal and VIP pay.
  • Supports the Sales & Marketing team with shared responsibility for the Shelf Management administration
  • Covers the front desk during lunch and on an as needed basis.
  • Maintains confidentiality pertaining to sensitive information.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets with company guidelines.

Language Skills:

Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate using the English Language. Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (verbally and in written form) effectively with customers, company personnel, and suppliers.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding, interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees. The ability to recognize and solve customer problems as well as the ability to perform a wide variety of office duties.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and limited stooping. The job requires the use of hands ( to finger, handle, or feel ) specifically for, but not limited to working on the computer. The employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Hearing and clear speech are also required communication skills.
