New York, United States City of New York Full time

Office of the Assigned Counsel Plan: Pursuant to Article 18B of the County Law, the Assigned Counsel Plan (ACP) has been providing quality legal services to indigent persons since . These services are funded by the City of New York through the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice and provided with oversight of the 1st and 2nd Appellate Division Departments. The ACP provides compensation to private attorneys certified to represent indigent clients charged with criminal offenses. Attorneys are assigned matters by the Court and the Administrator's office when there is a conflict of interest that prevents institutional providers from providing representation.

Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice: The Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) advises the Mayor of the City of New York on criminal justice policy. MOCJ develops and implements strategies to reduce crime and incarceration and to promote fairness and legitimacy. MOCJ works with law enforcement, city agencies, non-profits, foundations, and others to implement data-driven strategies that address current crime conditions, prevent offending, and build the safe and healthy neighborhoods that ensure enduring safety.

About the Role: The Case Management System Administrator is responsible for the oversight and maintenance of a new case management and vouchering system known as ACP CASES. ACP CASES collects and analyzes data on cases assigned to panel members and also supports a voucher payment function for cases and shifts. ACP CASES operates on the Salesforce platform as part of a product known as LegalStratus.

The Case Management System Administrator will report to the Administrators of the Assigned Counsel Plan.

Among the tasks that the Case management System Administrator will need to execute are:
- Monitor and manage the Salesforce platform and LegalStratus system's overall operation and performance.
- Monitor and maintain the Salesforce database and data objects. Investigate, document, and address all data issues.
- Manage all Salesforce and application release updates to ensure applications are not negatively impacted by changes.
- Document changes to the platform and applications. Review all release notes on all Salesforce upgrades to determine a potential impact on the system.
- Implement and oversee the planning and best practices for the deployment of system changes and fixes throughout the full life cycle of environments.
- Oversee all aspects of user and license management, including new user setup/deactivation, maintain user accounts, roles, profiles, permissions, sharing rules and workflows.
- Oversee production system support and ticketing of issues that arise to ensure issues are properly recorded and addressed in a timely manner.
- Perform a periodic system maintenance process to ensure platform and applications are running optimally.
- Acquire and possess an overall understanding of the ACP business process and workflow and its integration within the system and application.
- Work with Assigned Counsel Plan staff to enhance and extend the platform and application to meet new and or changing program needs.
- Provide support and training on Salesforce system functionality to its users.
- Provide support to the end-users on the community portal (website) on its use and operation.
