Hiring Now – Immediate need for new Class C Relief Driver/Warehouse Associate

American Building Supply (ABS) , a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has positions available for Class C Relief Driver/Warehouse Associates to assist our Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Class C Relief Driver/Warehouse Associate

As a Class C Relief Driver/Warehouse Associate, you will work in Windows, Hardware and Millwork departments and perform Class C relief driving duties for windows or route deliveries, as directed.

This position is based in the JELD-WEN ABS Sacramento Distribution facility.

What You Will Do

Pull daily hardware orders as needed Stock hardware as needed Lift/pull/push/load/unload equipment up to 100+LBS from warehouse/truck using proper equipment Operate powered lift truck (forklift and order picker) Maintain facility housekeeping standards Read and understand sales order tags Operate chop saw to cut material to length Select/package/stage molding for shipping Assist in inventory cycle counts as required Consistently adhere to safe work practices Maintain high quality standards Be point of contact and assist in unloading any incoming window trucks Work with dispatch and transportation to schedule window unloads and deliveries Stage window product on tubs or a-frames, organize by job/PO Inspect incoming loads and put product in appropriate location Select items in the warehouse for shipping with a cherry picker and/or forklift Make multiple route deliveries using a 26-ft company vehicle Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times; preform pre & post trip vehicle inspections Deliver all material undamaged and on time Build and maintain positive relationships with customers Maintain clean appearance while servicing customers Communicate any customer service issues with operations and sales Participate in random DOT drug tests administered throughout year Maintain attention to detail on all paperwork and documentation

Who You Are

Willing and able to lift large, heavy objects in excess of 100+ lbs. Clean DMV/MVR Report (MVR background check required). Previous delivery driving experience is preferred, but not required. Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
