Job Summary:
DELLA Auto, a leading automotive dealership in the North Region, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician/ Shop Foreman to join our team in Plattsburgh, New York.
As an integral member of our service department, the Shop Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department and ensuring the timely and quality completion of automotive repairs and maintenance.
This is a full-time, salaried position in the auto industry with a competitive hourly rate ranging from $20 to $50 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the service department, including technicians, apprentices, and support staff
- Ensure the efficient and timely completion of all automotive repairs and maintenance, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and dealership quality standards
- Assign work to technicians based on skills and availability, and provide guidance and support when needed
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure repairs meet dealership and customer expectations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and changes in automotive technology
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and recommendations, and address any concerns or questions
- Train and mentor new technicians and apprentices
- Ensure the service department is well-organized, clean, and properly stocked with necessary tools and equipment
- Monitor and track service department expenses to stay within budget
- Comply with all safety regulations and protocols

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience as an automotive service technician, with a proven track record of quality work and efficiency
- ASE certifications or equivalent training preferred
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role preferred
- Strong technical and mechanical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostic equipment and systems
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer systems and programs used for tracking repairs and maintenance
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
