Road Technician

WHO WE ARE: Firematic is a family owned business who has been serving those who protect us all for over 50 years WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: We are looking for a dynamic Road Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. Perform skilled work in maintaining automotive, medium and heavy duty trucks, to include all Fire Division and Rescue (EMS) Division vehicles, including small gas engines and other associated equipment. The majority of this position will be based on the road traveling to Fire Houses throughout Hamilton, Warren, Essex, Franklin and Clinton Counties, while also reporting to our Altamont, NY truck shop. Requirements WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Self-starter with positive can do attitude Must have knowledge of Diesel engines Valid class CDL B drivers license with Air Brakes or the ability to obtain. Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00. Pay range is from $25-32/hr depending on experience and certifications.
