Essential Job Functions:
  • Contribute to the development, prototyping, and testing of new designs and concepts related to static storage shelves, bays for distribution centers.
  • Create 3D models of parts and assemblies using Inventor and managing the various parts and assemblies in Vault.
  • Participate and/or lead the transition of conceptual designs into the detailed planning phases of projects as required to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper positioning of Integration services to be offered to the client
  • Prepare drawings, bill of materials to facilitate system manufacture and delivery
  • Develop vendor relations to include price negotiations, as well as maintain the base design specifications and custom design components.
  • Ability to work with customers for equipment design/engineering concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and creativity to develop and compare alternative system designs that optimize the application of different material handling equipment and controls, conveyors, staging/storage, sorting equipment, etc. to meet specific operational requirements
  • Implement design release procedures
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other related Engineering degree
  • 1-7+ years professional experience in mechanical engineering
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to work with clients, management, and multidiscipline development teams
  • Travel upto 25% may be required
  • Proficiency in 3d modeling software required – Autodesk Inventor aptitude preferred
