Family Practice APP

The provider in this position provides medical care to patients in a hospital based outpatient clinic facility as part of the primary care practice. Must demonstrate a high level of expertise in diagnosis, treatment, consultation and follow-up of adult and pediatric patients. Orders and interprets test results, recommends and implements treatment of patients, administers therapeutic procedures, prescribes therapy or medication. Has a panel of patients that are followed for their ongoing medical care. Provides back-up coverage for patients of physicians in the primary care practice as needed. Often meets with family members to discuss care plans and other medical treatment issues. Characterized by an increased complexity of clinical decision-making ability.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education
Graduate of a physician assistant program and certified by the State.ORMasters of Science in Nursing, Masters of Nursing or equivalent Nurse Practitioner Degree..
Experience
Prior experience in clinical area (2+ years) preferred
Licensure/Credentials
Current Washington State RN Licensure. ARNP with prescriptive authority in Washington State.
